Hey Ducat, you evil locust. (Mantis!) Haven't had time to check out your refill yet. I would like to make some samples of my drum kit but I don't have the time or resources. If it is shite, don't worry about it. Ya gotta start somewhere.

lol Evil locust? I am also iammane. And I must admit I am under the influence of homemade wine. But in any event, I like spending more time making patches than actually writing so if someone has ideas I'd love to try. Been using Reason for almost a year but FL for almost 9 so I am probably more than capable of coming up with nice combi ideas, etc. Reason > FL |

So I was wondering, would anyone be interested in a comprehensive Alesis SR16 refill? I have the unit collecting dust, it's a great drum machine with a nice variety of sounds. Here is a reference photo incase it sounds familiar but you're not sure exactly what I'm referring to: ![]() I haven't really been working on music lately, mostly due to finals and I'm going on vacation soon but I still love tinkering around with audio stuff. If it sounds like a dumb idea though, I'd rather not waste my time. Lemme know! Laters |

K, I've spent about four hours on this so far collectively, and I have a little teaser screen of the combi in reason ![]() imo lookin good so far, I'm in the process of recreating the onboard presets in Reason. Boring as hell. Also, their midi implementation is rather strange, it's not GM. I had thought about trying to map it to GM but after redoing about thirteen presets I've actually found that their setup works pretty well. All of the presets will be mapped to hardware specs that way you can fly through the presets and they will sound as they normally would on the unit. The special presets that I'll be doing next I was originally going to map to GM, but decided to keep continuity instead. Suggestions? Lemme know, danke! |

All the presets are set on the Alesis refill, just need to do some special ones and then it's all set. In the meantime, I rex'ed up a few drum loops I had laying around, they are seperated by tempo. Have at em if you'd like http://download.yousendit.com/6F353A203C4469CC |

Danke :] I'm toying with the idea of submitting it to Propellerhead as a free refill for their archives, but I'm scared of being sued lol. They have this WHOLE big section in a contract you need to mail to them about how if they get sued, all the charges are passed on to you and the last thing I can afford right now is a lawsuit from Alesis. I'm sure it's not the most likely thing that could happen, but nonetheless it's still scary |
