If you really are going to be using reason a lot, then you are going to need a control surface too... beleive me it'll come in handy. An axiom 61 key control-surface keyboard will last you forever and they totally rock.

Been looking at the Axiom but it's a bit pricey at £150. It looks great though - is it easy to set up and use with Reason or do you need to keep establishing which knob controls which parameter every time you boot up?

It's really easy. I think that it should have it's own memory which can be programmed to remember which knobs it's assigned to. Most of the controllers do nowadays. You could just do what I did though - get a basic MIDI keyboard and then buy a seperate controller device. It's working brilliantly for me: Clicky Still, it's good to have it all in one piece of hardware. I'm probably going to get an Axiom myself.
