Default REASON 3 runs slow on my macbook pro

hey i just got a macbook pro and installed reason on it. i tried to play the demo song but it just glitched a lot and said "your computer is too slow to play the song." i couldn't believe it. does anyone know of any way to fix this? Reason worked fine on my Dell that's 3 years old.

Is it Reason 3.0 or 3.0.3?

I don't own a mac, but from what I hear, they made a lot of improvements in 3.0.3. Most of those improvements targeted macs. So try to upgrade (it's free) and see if there is a difference.

Macbook pro has Intel inside and runs Reason best if you install the universal binary, Reason version 3.0.5.

Head over to www.propellerheads.se and download version 3.0.5 This is the MAC Universal compatibility update.

On a Macbook Pro, all older non-Intel based mac apps are run through an app called Rosetta, because of this you will get hampered performance from processor intensive apps such as graphic and audio apps.

The 3.0.5 update allows you to run Reason as an Intel Mac native application, and should solve your lag problems.

Hope this helps.
