It's pretty cool for a first try, but you should have chosen totally different drums.

SG: That's what this threads for. To post your work..?

Download Audacity, which is free and open-source, and download the LAME extension. Then you can export your wavs as mp3s. Ogg files are pretty good too.

Got it,

here is to a track i'm working on. It needs editing, to cut out about 1 min, and I'm struggling with the bass. It seems to loud, but when I turn it down, parts of it dissapear. I know this is down to compression and EQ but I just can't become happy with it.

I think the kick is also too loud compared to the hats but again like I said - a work in progress.

Anyway comments welcome..........positive comments naturally.

Let me know what your listening to it on (type of speakers, heads)

Sounds great, you really got the jumping synths going good. I just don't agree with the snare and tom. I know they're analog but I just don't think they work.

Apart from that I think its one hell of a song!

Cheers, I guess it's a matter of taste. I do agree about the Tom. I have searched hard, but its difficult to find a good one that is in tune with the track.
Maybe I need to play around with the pitch again.

If you have the same refills I can post the .rns and we can see what you can do????

Hos did the mix sit on your system? I need to do allot more mixing especially panning.

Well the bass seemed all right. It remained sub until the second half of the song where it became more prominent but it was still good, it wasn't like it was too loud or doing that much damage.

My system is not that good at the moment what with my semi-working sigmatel soundcard and mikomi gaming headset, but it still sounded pretty well mixed.

i have the following refills. If there are some which you used which I don't have, please say so, I need to get expand my library.

You realy need to get yourself some decent headphones or monitors!

For a soundcard I only use a creative Soundblaster Audigy 4.
Just make sure all the enhancments are turned off. Although I wouldn't recommend it
Not from what i've read, but it's good for gaming.

Tell me what samples/patches your missing and i'll check refill there from.

Looks like I've got them all (refills).

Yes, I admit that my system is looking pretty feeble at the moment. But on my desktop I do have some AKG headphones that cost £100 back in the day, and a NICE soundblaster system with 15ms delay without ASIO... nice.

Default Uh Oh

My first song.

Comments welcome (even critical ones).

It's about what a girl did to my brain over three weeks in '01.
