Oh, which one are you planning on purchasing? I was thinking of getting a usb audio interface/soundcard for my laptop too because I want to record some reference stuff on the go, I was leaning towards something by m-audio maybe the fast track pro or mobilepre usb. I wish i could test them out somehow though.

Just got a cheap one off ebay for the moment, cost something in the range of 4 pounds... lol

I'm not sure what sort of card I should get... but if I did get an M-Audio then that would mean I could use protools right?

Yeah, you could use pro tools m powered.

But I dont think every card supports protools, most do. Just check at their site first to be sure.

Like if I'm not home and I need a rapper or singer to record a verse just to see how it compliments the track, and obviously most portable situations won't be an ideal place to record audio that'll you'll keep.

I wanna post some tracks of mine but the files are too big when I export them as .wav files from Reason. 50Mb??????

Is there a better way of rendering a track so it's not as big. I don't want you guys too have to wait so long too download it.

Cheers.

my first post didnt go thru, so ill try for another one.
i just made comment on titancow's initial post and sample---i liked it! maybe some phat popping bass at 1:14 when the treble kicks in would be cool.

i just learnt some of the basics on reason, and heres my first attempt at a tune. it ended up sounding a bit aphex twin!
let me know if you got some advice.

It's a good start, I like it. Not a big fan of the drums, sounds a bit distorted or maybe you just overused the scream device? Maybe something more glitchy would fit the track. Maybe some more instrumentation too. Also try to post your own thread again, it's best not to clog up a stick thread with unrelated stuff.

Huh, that is related to the topic......it's what he's working on.
Problematic drivers and what soundcard you are gonna buy isn't!
