not unless you can somehow change the tempo at which each instrument is playing...even then it would be a very tedious process.

he wants to different reason instruments to have step sequences. he wants one instrument to have 16 steps and the other to have 15 steps, but he wants them to end at the same time.... I said the only way that I see it working is if you had one instrument (lets say the 16 step one) play at one tempo and the other instrument (the 15 step one) play at another tempo... the 15 step would have to be at a faster tempo that the 16 step, if he wanted them to END at the SAME TIME.... |

you could probably start by looking at the documentation for the instrument that you are dealing with and maybe look for tempo adjustments for that instrument. that should at least get you started... you can just call me apex. |

The only possibility I see for this is to enter all notes in the sequencer and then mark the clip of the 15-step-instrument and scale the tempo by x %. But I donīt see, why you should need this, because I cannot imagine, that this would sound good.

Yes, this would not work. It's like when you get 15/16 echo/delay.

You have to take the extra 16th note of time that is missing and divide it up among the remaining 15 16th notes, therefore you have to subdivide the beat a whole lot. You might be able to accomplish this by getting into some 64th note resolution, but it might take a greater subdivision (128th notes) which I'm not sure can be accomplished in reason, definitely not in the matrix or the redrum. Even if you did go that route, it would be almost impossible to make it match up perfectly. But hell, what's wrong with mixed meter. 15 against 16 would sound pretty cool and whacked out.
