i got this problem, and iam going crazy, i had it setup once, but i cant get the preferences back.

I got two controllers keyboard and drum pad.

i want the drumpads play the redrum
keyboard plays whateva, malström.

i went to preferences, advanced midi thing, and gave both controller a single bus, keyboard s bus a. mpd is bus b...

but what now? when i LOCK the mpd to the redrum, its muted, no incoming signal until i ''delock'' it????

When you use busses, you don´t need to lock the device anymore. Just go to the hardware interface and select your redrum as target device for the bus B and channel x (you may know the correct channel, even if not, you´ll see, when you trigger the pads).
