Exclamation Axiom 61 w/Reason update but still problems with Pads

Hello to anyone who reads this post...I have Reason 3.0 and I went to the M-Audio site to update my driver and it sort of fully works but for some reason all of my pads don't work like they should...I'm trying to get them all to cooperate properly so I won't have a hassle setting different pads to the different drum sounds...I know like maybe 4 pads work when I open up the Redrum thing and not every pad lights up on the Redrum rack when I push them. I know that when I hit some pads, the mute button is pressed and I have NO IDEA why in the world its doing that and I really hate to have to assign each pad every time I try to do a track. I'm looking to have the pads how they should be without a problem. I also noticed when I tried to record with the pads, only like 2 pads worked...I got a sound coming out of the pad when I hit record and tried to record but it never laid anything down when it was all done...I played it back and all I got was those 2 I did before...I was doing the layering style drum record where you do one part at a time...If anybody could PLEASE help me out a little bit on how to fix this so this never happens again, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks for reading
-Chris

Whenever you mute a drum sound, that means that you are hitting the note/pad on the wrong octave, you need to be in 8ve 1 for it to trigger the sample.

Before the update you had to manually edit each value of each pad (the update should of installed a preset into your axiom that does that automatically) If the update didn't install this preset on preset 10 of your axiom and you're forced to do it manually here's how. I must note that I have the axiom 25 so your process might be a little different. Here's how it works for me.

Hit the pad

Now hit advanced

Now hit Data 1

The value of the first pad should be 36 (which triggers the first channel of your ReDrum) , if it's not input 36 and press enter.

Then for the next pad enter 37 and so on. (since the ReDrum has 10 channels, but you only have 8 pads so your values should be 36-43)

SG I'm assuming you have one of these fine pieces of kit? Sounds like something I should invest in...

Yeah I have the axiom 25 (mostly used for basslines and simple melodies), I use a cheap radioshack multi channel keyboard for more keys lol. I will be getting the axiom 61, I'm really happy with these keyboards, they're so easy to setup for most programs, reason especially and they're just plain cool lol.

well I never quite figured it out on reason but in other daws yes you can change the midi channel your pads on the axiom transmits on (actually by default I think the pads transmits on channels 1 and 10), so you can play the keys and at the same time hit the pads to bust out some drum patterns. Then you can get m audio's enigma program and basically customize everything on the axiom. (I must admit i don't use it that much, but it comes in handy when you want to download and transfer user made presets to your axiom.)

Right click on the Dr.rex and select "lock to {your midi device name}"
