| Hoping very much that you'd be able to help me with this Dr. Rex drum nightmare. At present, I'm using Reason 3 with the Bomes Mouse Keyboard, through the Maple virtual cable driver. On a new reason job, I first open the 14:2 mixer. I then open the NN-XT, and open the patch "jovian". At this point, everything is working fine, with the NNXT and Bomes keyboard coming through the first channel, I press the keys on my keyboard, and sound is coming through with no problems. I then open Dr. Rex. This is now were the problems start. At this point I get silence from the NNXT panel. I now open the "trf36 middleskool" drum beat, and then place that to track. When playing back the track, the drum beat is fine, but now the Bomes Mouse Keyboard is now playing samples from the "trf36 middleskool" beat, that I'd opened in Dr Rex. I now have "middleskool" coming through both the keyboard, and Dr. Rex, with all the stuff coming through the second mixer channel, with the first mixer channel "NN-XT" totally dead. I checked the connections, by pressing tab, and both Dr. Rex and NNXT seem to be correctly connect to the back of the mixer. Any help would be much appreciated. |

This is no problem with your connections. You have just to tell Reason which Device you want to play with your keyboard. Everytime you create a device, this device will become the target for the keyboard, until you select another one. To select another device, you have to click the MIDI plug symbol on the sequencer track of the device. Or you could right click directly on the device and selct "lock device to {your keyboard}"
