| I'm kinda new and been having loads of fun with Reason. I prefer to actually compose using acoustic instrumentation i.e. pianos, guitars, basses, brass, etc. Is there something out there that is a really good collection of samples or a vitual instrument that I could use with Reason? Good quality sounds are essential. I find it really hard to find good muted trumpets, soprano saxes, and things like that. I've actually been using an old soundfont (sf2) of a tenor sax that sounds great. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Lots of varied, great sounding instruments is essential. |

The Orkestra CD has plenty of good sounds. If you are not satisfied with native sounds, try digging for some old records and sample them. If you want to shell out some cash, then just search online for some refills. There are literaly hundreads of them.

I found this site, www.esoundz.com, which offers a TON of sounds to use with Reason. I've created a post to see if other people on here have had any experience with them, but I haven't gotten a reply yet. Check it out.
