Default Refill problems

I recently got Reason 4.0 and my first refill called Reason Pianos and I really want to get it working. Th instructions said to copy the file into the reason application folder. I didnt know what exact folder to put it in so i just put it in the general Reason folder. When I go create instrument and go to reason pianos, there is no plus by it to show all the sounds (like there is for the soundbank and orchestral ones). Whats my problem?

It doesn't matter where you put your refills as long as your Reason browser can access it (so anywhere on your hard drive). Then you'll see a sort of red floppy disc logo for the Reason Refill and just click on that so that it's highlighted and select open from the bottom of the prompt.

Well I do see the little Reason logo by the name but I just realized that a little X is showing up in the bottom right corner that says bad format that wont let me open it. It is a .rfl file... any ideas?
Thanks

don't know but that sounds as if it is corrupted. if so, you should contact propellorheads to get another copy. say it was damaged in the mail or something.

did you get any errors when you copied the file over to the folder? that could be one problem or did you interrupt it while it was copying?

I got it to work! I just copied the file wrong. But I have another problem now... no sound? I'm totally a noob at reason, but I'm not getting any sound like from the demo song or anything. Ideas? THanks!

i'm guessing that you hadnt selected the right sound card? if your soundcard aint the best, try using asio4all, which brought my sample buffer delay down to 13ms :] from my psp
