Hey there, new to the forum, I hope it helps me make muy mind as to what software purchase to start producing some beats...

Two basic questions:

1. Can I record directly from my kbd, guitar, bass into Reason? Is there a multitrack or something like that.

2. Can Reason be used for live performances, eg: keyboards playing through reason, or samples playing through reason, or live DJ playing house grooves through Reason?

The answer to both questions is "yes". Reason has midi interface, so you can record anything that works with midi. It can't record sound waves directly, for that you'd need to rewire it with cubase or something else that works with waves.
