Default sound forge to dr rex

sorry for the complete newbie question, but nothing ive searched has quite hitting the point of my question.

does anyone know how to chop samples in sound forge? i can set markers but that doesnt seem to do anything. it seems so much easier in recycle, but i dont have it.

secondly, even if i were able to do so, i cant get samples to show up in dr. rex. ive looked to see what type of file i could possible save it as in order to show, but nothing works. any help would be great, thanks.

In sound forge you have to Highlight and cut/open a new page and paste what you want as a "chopped sample" as for the other chops you want also.

Sound forge cant saverex files but doesnt limit you to use chopped up samples and reason and control that sample the way you want.

the easier way to do what your talking about is to get Recycle 2.1 and it will set the markers itself and export to a rex file...other wise if you still with sound forge you will have to use the nn_xt and lay each sample on the key you would like to use to trigger that sample.

Hope this helps if you have anymore questions let me know.
