Default midi setup

Hi all,

I finally got myself some more Midi cables, and now I want to do the following:

I want the midi clock of my yamaha an1x to control the midi clock of my microkorg and reason. I have set midi channel on the yamaha to 1 (the rx, which i understand is send) and on the microkorg to 1 as well. I also set the clock on the microkorg to external, but nothing happens. When i press a key on the yamaha the korg should sound but it doesn't. I have of course connected a midi cable from the midi out of the yamaha to the midi in of the korg.

Now if i connect the midi out of the korg to the midi in of the yamaha, same thing, nothing happens.

Ideally i would like to route the clock signal from my korg kaoss pad into the yamaha through the microkorg into reason. I have looked through the manuals on both machines but they don't really explain much.

I know that it must be possible to 'chain' three or four midi devices and have them all synchronised.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help
