I use the redrum, i'm just used to it, I like how you can program the drums.

The nnxt is probably way more capable than the redrum, but it's more a hassle to load up the sounds.

I love the redrum for chopping up samples, at times I'll use it certain kicks and snares in a loop.

I never realized that you could use the redrum to chop up samples (I still don't "know" that you can, I just read that you said it....) HINT HINT LOL!!!

but now that I think about it would you just load up different samples directly into the redrum tracks? sounds simple enough right? lol. but your samples would already have to be editing and cut perfectly like you want them.

Lol actually i meant to type " I love using the dr.rex for chopping up samples" However you can use the redrum also. Each channel in redrum can load a .rex slices.

.rex slices??? hm....... i've not seen a .rex slice just yet, only the entire exported loop...but I guess you could just set the L and R loop points in recycle and then export and name that slice and then do it again later on somewhere down the loop.

I heard that you could use the dr.rex to "rearrange" the samples in the loop, but I have not yet figured that out.

In recycle, you can do more then export a whole loop in the rex format.

You can set slice points to your audio file, then each slice can be triggered in any order.

It's as easy as pointing and clicking in recycle.

Here's a good recycle tutorial:

Yeah, but you have to buy Recycle, of course.
