There's no real reason to use the NN19, all NN19 patches can be loaded up into the nnxt which is WAY more capable and flexible then the NN19. At least that's how I see it.

well now that I know you can change the pitch of all the samples at once, I somewhat agree....but think about it. why would propellerhead have put the 19 in the program if it was the same as the xt, but the xt was better...they would have just put in the xt and left the 19 out, or put in the xt and put another instrument in place...like a vocoder or something. |

There is a vocoder in reason. Anyway, the nn19 was in Reason before the nnxt, the nnxt is a newer device, I guess the they just felt there's no harm in leaving the nn19 in there. But to be fair the nn19's interface and parameters are much more direct and less of a hassle to use then the nnxt's |
