Angry Need help working my MIDI controllers with reason 4.0!

Aight heres the deal, I have an oxygen 49 and a trigger finger, both are showing that they are active in the keyboards and control surfaces menu, but i cant get any sound let alone get the note on signal to flash when i press the keys. I've tried reinstalling drivers and several other things, if someone could just give me a walkthrough of getting my MIDI controllers to work it would make my whole year. This is also my first time using reason to produce.

ANY help would be more than appreciated.

Alright... in the control surfaces menu it says they are active... is the "use with reason" box checked?
and... Do you have a mixer open in reason?

Alright... try opening up a Malstom or Subtractor instrument.. Redrum and NNXT don't always use the whole keyboard.. redrum only used one octave and NNXT depends on the sample being used...

If its like you said.. and nothing is responding at all.. no lights are blinking when you press a key.. blah blah...
Usually its a driver issue or an issue in the options menu...

hmmmmmm...
When you open up reason... Does it come up with a notice that starts off with "Reason could not setup control surfaces properly" Or does it start up perfectly fine?
Also... try assigning one of the controllers as the "master keyboard"

I tried both malstrom and subtractor, neither works, i have the oxygen 49 set up as the master keyboard, and underneath i have master keyboard checked for standard, could it have something to do with the advanced controls menu? Because i currently have oxygen 49 under Bus A and trigger finger under Bus B. It also has a MIDI clock sync tab which i can choose the oxygen or the trigger finger. Oh, and there are no issues on the start up.
