Nice, very nice.....

I love the chops you used, this track gives off a crazy amount of energy, I liked the variation you gave it to. Just makes me want to write verses to it because it sounds like a hiphop beat to me.

I know this is probably a rough mix but I would try to make the drums knock more, maybe add a bit of reverb on that clap. And eq the sample so it's more upfront in the track if that makes sense.

Thanks alot man!!! I appreciate the comments and the suggestions. It will be for hiphop. Just a little positive message I am trying to give out. Yes it is a rough mix. I am trying to learn more about mastering and that kind of stuff I rewired the track into Logic and tried to mix it and stuff from there.

Is that how you would go about adding the reverb to just the clap sound...through Logic...(can you even add effects to one drum sound in reason)

I do know what you mean about making it more up front in the mix.

Thanks again for the helpful comments.

Next.....

You could do that, but personally I'd think it'd be a waste of a rewire track. If you're using redrum just route that specific clap to a reverb device( I use the RV) then route that reverb device back to your mixer.

It's much easier to do it in my default setup because I have my redrum and each of it's channels routed to a mixer then I set up two auxiliaries, one being reverb the other a compresser. I could post up my default template if you wznt.

Sure. Every little bit would help. I am not too up on the auxiliaries yet. But I do understand the concept...just not all the way sure on the routing. And the difference in a send effect and an insert.

An insert can be balanced between wet and dry signal. Typically a send effect will be 100% wet when you route the signal to it.

Oh and here's the template:

Lol, don't worry you'll get a hang of it all. Just keep on reading the manuals and reading helpful articles. By the way I think I might gather up a bunch of useful articles and post them on here. It seems alot of people who visit here might appreciate it.

Edit: Also If you have any questions about my template I'd be glad to answer them

I like it man.. Its a nice track...
SG said it and i'll say it too.. Just needs more Knock... It didn't have a lot of volume either maybe turn the kick and clap up a bit, maybe even try a harder hitting kick... and then Use the Mastering Suite Combi to adjust input and output levels to get a nice, clean, Loud sound all around...
