I'm Matt, I'll be 23 in a few months and I currently live in New York (on the island, not the city )

I'm reattending school to become a secondary English ed. teacher, love literature very much so :]

I listen to quite a bit of post rock and electronic music, minimal stuff, glitchy etc. I guess I more or less write the same haha. I enjoy jazz and hip hop as well.

Was using FL for approximately eight years, recently switched to Reason because I like the work flow much more and building sounds from scratch is quite a bit easier (thanks to the cabling screen)

My name is J. I am 26 years old. Recently relocated to Arkansas from Tennessee.

I am a minister of music for a church here in town. I play piano and organ (by ear) I also read music and know some theory. I had a music scholarship for playing French Horn in college.

I like music in general no certain genre...if it sounds good, then I'll listen to it. But as far as production, I do gospel, R&B, & Hip-Hop. I like it all.

My setup includes:

Triton Pro X (sequencing using the powerful sequencer built into the Triton)
Roland JW-50 (workstation, but I use it as my MIDI keyboard)
Roland VS-880 Xpanded w/ effects card (use it as a sampler & effects board)
Mac Book Pro 2.16 2 GB 17 inch
Logic 8 Pro Suite
Reason 4.0
Recycle
Audacity

Hey,

My name is Paul, i'm 25 and I live in Adelaide, South Australia. Been using Reason for the last 4 years and some Fruityloops before that.

Due to some chronic back pain I have been unable to spend any time on my music..................just can't concentrate at the moment.
I have vowed to get my back fixed and then get straight back into it ASAP.
I have been keeping an eye on this forum though

Mostly I listen to alternative rock/indie, so bands like Radiohead, TV on the radio Arcade Fire etc. Also enjoy electronica, as long as it isn't too repetitive and has a bit of feeling and emotion to it.

My kit comprises of my PC which is a bit crappy.
Reason 4
Re-Cycle
Pair of Yamaha HS50M's
and a Korg Micro controller.

It's a pretty basic setup but it's all I need, and i've covered all the wall in my "studio" with blankets. I feel it's very impotant too get my monitoring correct, cus I like to produce and generate sounds rather than compose music ready for someone else to mix and master.

My name is Eddie.. Producer name:Eddie Versatile...
Im 22 years old and I live in Atlanta, Georgia, which is where my mom decided to settle down after moving around a lot (about 6 states if i remember correctly) all before i turned 6...
I was born in Germany, my father was in the military, but my mom brought me back to the states when i was around 9 months old...
I've had an interest in music all my life, starting out playing a recorder, moved up to a clarinet, then the trumpet, trombone, cornet, french horn, tuba, oboe, a little saxaphone... and when i wasn't messing with orchestral instruments i was playing around with Acid Pro tryin to piece together loops to form some cool Electronica tracks, All that was before i was about 13 which is when i picked up my first guitar... at which time i just decided to drop everything and persue a RockStar career haha... I had 8 guitars at one time(the Ibanez's were my favs) and 20 something effects pedals pushed through a LOUD peavey amp...Formed a band with some friends.. lasted about 2 years, only got to perform once before the drummer flaked out on us and quit... i decided then that i didn't want to have to rely on others for my success which is when I started playing with fruity loops...
The whole thing that turned me on to producing is that i now had everything at my fingertips to make an entire instrumental by myself... exactly how i wanted it done...
Once a got Reason 3.0 my life changed... and i became obsessed with Producing...This was about 4 years ago i would say.. When i was about 18-19...
Since then i''ve just been on my grind, working my full time jobs and coming home to another job of making music... Once my Full time job started paying more, i was able to buy some nice equipment...
Right now my setup includes.

-E-Machines AMD Athlon 3600 64 bit PC with XP (works just fine for me)
-1 GB ram (soon to be 2)
-350GB HD
-32" LCD TV for my screen
-Reason 4.0
-M-Audio Ozone for midi control and is used as my Audio Interface..
-Pro-Tools M-Powered to record and master tracks with...
-MXL-990 Microphone with shock mount (has a nice warm sound and isnt too expensive...)
-M-Audio Axiom49 midi Controller (for all around use in Reason and Pro-tools)
-2 Yamaha HS80M 8" Bi-Amplified Studio Monitors (AMAZING quality sound!)
- M-Audio Radium49 (was my main keyboard, now its a backup..)

And thats about it.. minus a few lil accesories...
Pretty basic setup thats fairly cheap for a complete solution which is what i've turned it into...
Software is the way to go! haha...

Right now.. I am procuding, Recording, and Engineering for Myself and quite a few other people...

Check out my myspace music site if you guys have a chance and let me know what you think...
