Default Question with Sequences/Arps.

Alright well I have a Refill with a certain Arp I want to use. It's in Dr.Rex, so I send the loop to the track. Now, my problem is, I can't alter the notes at all, like I want it to be played as a sequence and just press different keys to lower or heighten the notes without the loop speeding up or slowing down.

I tried to send the loop to NN-XT, but it still did the same thing, when pressing any other key other than the root, it's like it either goes slo-mo or fast forward. Any help would be appreciated.

So wait, when you press the keys it's actually changing the octave or pitch of the loop?

That is correct. This happens with any sequence/arp when it's either not from Reason and I import it to NN-XT, or if it's something like a Rex Loop. When I press a key other than the root key, the whole sequence slows down or speeds up and it sounds really crappy.

I should also say Dr. Rex doesn't do that, but it simply doesn't change the notes since it's sliced beats.

I am very confused. Normally Dr.Rex or NNXT will play each individual slice for each note, eg C = slice 1, C# = slice 2 etc, what exactly is happening here? I don't quite understand..?

Okay, let me clarify, from Dr. Rex I press the "to track" and from there I exported the loop and put it in NN-XT. The loop basically slows down or speeds up past the root note, and what I want is that the loop is played normally and when I press a different note, that it'll play normally like any other sound.

I think you need to turn off keyboard tracking?

I turn it off and all that does is every key plays the loop at the same exact note. I dragged the sound around on NN-XT's screen to different notes and it still did the same thing also.

So, you want to be able to transpose the pitch of the loop but have it play to length properly? It's not really something you can do in Reason but maybe I still don't understand either

Well, I wanted to do it easier, but I didn't notice the transpose option. It seems that'll have to suffice, and at least it sounds good for most stuff. Though I really wish there was a way to play it note-wise, it'd be easier.
