Default Please help Samples are out of tune w/ other instruments

After I raised the pitch on a sample and got the timing set just right with my drums, I tried to go and add a bass line and some strings, etc...but the instruments are out of tune with the sample. there is a fine tuning option on the dr:rex loop player, but it doesn't help much. I can get it in tune with one instrument, but then when I switch to another instrument it is out of tune with that one.

I said something about this in another one of my old threads....but didn't get a response.

I need some help!!!

you should really be tuning your other insts (bass/strongs/etc) around the sample nott he other way round.

yeah right....or are you serious? man that would take forever wouldn't it...and then I'd have out of tune instruments in the song(generally out of tune..but in tune with the mix...make sense)

is this seriously how you would approach this issue?

if so, how do you tune the other instruments...that means that whatever instruments or sounds i decide to use i will have to stop and tune them to the sample...??

well i adressed your problem. upload your reason file and let me have a look.

to actually add a sample after you have added other insts, to me sounds crazy.

what genre are you trying to make?

i know that you addressed my problem and i really do appreciate the help.

thing is you didn't read the first post careful enough. i had the sample and drums lined up perfectly. WHEN I WENT TO ADD THE OTHER INSTRUMENTS....

they were out of tune with the sample.

I was not adding the sample to the other instruments. I added the other instruments to the sample.

does it still sound crazy.

I am not trying to be a smart alic (however you spell that...) just stating the facts. and I don't really have a genre, I just make music. But if you had to classify it, it would probably fall into hip hop somewhere.

when I try to upload the reason song file, it says invalid file. any more suggestions?

Go to your reason file

Click File>Self contain settings> and check the boxes

This will make sure the sample itself will be included with the .rns file

Now go to a site like zshare or fileden and upload the rns file and post the link.

Ok here is the link that you requested.

In this file I have added strings to the mix and I was able to get them pretty close in tune by changing the fine tuning option on the sample.

I have a bass patch loaded in this file also. It will not be in all the way in tune. It actually sounds pretty close, but it pains my ears a little to hear it.

Thanks for any and all help you all are able to provide. I really appreciate it.
