| I've daddled in Reason 2 for a while (4 is on its way), do some guitar/vocal recording in CuBase SX (used Adobe Audition back in the day), and have started to play around with Garage Band on my new MacBook Pro, and I'm ready to get back into my music creation. One thing I'm interested in is how to create your own custom midi samples and integrate them into Reason. I'm assuming if, for example, I wanted to cut a sample of a monologue from an old recording, then I would import the wave/MP3 file to a program like CuBase, cut it to the proper length, and then... what? I'm really not interested in creating drum or synth samples, so much as getting vocals or people talking into samples. I've been searching the internet with little luck. Any advice? -Vudu |

I donīt exactly know, what you mean with "MIDI samples", because MIDI and samples are totally diffrent things. I guess, you just want to load some WAV files in Reason which can be triggered by MIDI notes, right? Then you can create a ReDrum, NN-19 oder NN-XT and load the samples there. How this is exactly done, is well described in the manual. |
