Default Anyone in Connecticut willing to help

I 'm a songwriter living in Connecticut. I have a Pro Tools LE / Reason 3.0 set up on my mac computer. I'm 50 years old and I'm finding the recording terminology is way over my head. I have a pretty good handle on Pro Tools but Reason is throwing me for a loop.

I'm looking for pre set drum beats I can use for my original songs but it seems I can never find something that fits my songs. ( song style is 60's 70's music).
I don't think like a drummer so I can't even imagine me doing the midi thing. I'm limited on guitar and singing, my strength is in songwriting.

I've purchased a tutorial DVD, but even that didn't help, they are using terminology I don't understand, and I'm constantly rewinding and rewinding because they are going too fast.

Is there anyone in Connecticut that is willing to help me out, I live in Guilford.

Thanks!
