Buying Reason 4.0

I'm in the uk and the cheapest I can get a new boxed version of reason 4.0 is around £200 - £250 ($400 - $500). I can get a copy from the states though for around £120, is there any differences between the european and american versions? I don't know if computer programs have a region thing similar to DVDS, and I don't want to buy it and then find out as returning it to america would be a complete hassel

There shouldn't be a difference as far as I know, they're probably the same damn thing to tell you the truth.
