Arm the "transport" track in your sequencer for recording. Then press record on your transport and make your tempo changes, it should then keep track of your changes and automate them.

How do you arm the Reason transport? Can this be done only using Reason, or would I need to run it in a sequencer like Sonar?

| You can do this inside reason alone, Just select the transport track on the sequencer and make sure that little round button with the squiggly stuff in it (sorry dont know its real name lol) is red. Simple as that.

That's all fine and dandy, but it doesn't work if I have a midi file imported. And the manual basically says I can forget about changing tempo if I import any midi files.

Okay, I must be dumb because I still don't get it. On the left side where it shows the processors, I have several processors loaded and I've got some sequencer tracks in there as well. But when I go to arm a new sequencer track on the pull down window (the "out"), I don't see transport in the list. Sorry for not understanding. Joe |

Just to let you know - you can slow down tempo if you rewire Reason to another DAW like Protools or Ableton.
