| Just got Reason 4 and its amazing. Couple questions though for you Reason pimps. 1. How can I have 2 different keys on my keyboard change the patchs up and down??? I see the keyboard edit mode but there is no yellow arrow on the previous and next patch buttons. 2. I have a M-Audio Ozone keyboard and I want to have the patchs to go up and down with the actual octave/presets. I go to remote override mode but there is no way to select the octave/presets buttons only the pitch, modulation, data entry, and the 8 knobs. Anybody??? 3. I also want to run reason and logic 7.2 with rewire. Has anybody got this to work??? Thank you so much for any replies! Josh |

For 1. (and maybe 2.): Select "options"->"additional remote overrides...". There you can setup your desired MIDI-Message (Note or controller) for selecting prev/next patch. |

Thanks for the reply but I should have made #1 more clear... I want to be able to change the patches up and down on my laptop keyboard. Why when I go into keyboard control edit mode the only arrows that don't show up are on the "next patch" and "previous patch" What the heck??? |

I got Reason to work with Logic 7.2 and also Pro Tools HD simultaneously. All 3 at once, ahhhh technology! This is awesome... Still don't see how to change patches via the keyboard or the midi controller... Hmmmm... |

Hi UnderRated, I'm not sure if you can change the patches up and down with the laptop keyboard. I'm curious as to why you want to do this. Can you not just create another device in the rack and have a different patch loaded into it? Matt.

@underrated: I donīt know why keyboard remote mapping is not availabe for these buttons, but I have seen, that MIDI remote IS availabe for them! So, you should at least be able to select the patches via MIDI. An idea for #2: Create a Combinator. Create a Mixer inside the combinator. Create the needed number of devices (everything inside the combinator) and wire them to the Mixer. Load your desired patches into these devices. Show up the programmer of you combinator. Now, you can setup which device should recieve which notes. Example: You have created 2 NN-XT in your combinator. Then you can setup these devices in the programmer so that one NNXT recieves notes from octave 0-4 and the other one recieves notes from octave 5-10. Hope this helps a bit for #2. |
