Question remix tutorials please, please!!

Hi I'm new to Reason and I've just been using it to create my own beats, but what I really want to do is create Remixes and I'm looking for some tutorials.

I know that Berkleemusic has an online course called "Remixing With Pro Tools And Reason", which I would love to do, but it costs nearly $1000 (so no way).

Does anyone know of any tutorials like that one (but minus the cost) that might help me, because I have absolutely know idea where to begin.

thanks

p.s. if Reason isn't the best software to use for remixing, then can you let me know of a software that I can use for remixing, without having to use any hardware.

Basically all I want to do is keep the original acapella, load it into Reason, and use Reason to create my own instrumental for the song.
Like what this person has done in this video. He says he only used Reason 3.

I know it probably sounds really easy, but I'm still learning so I appreciate the help.

Hi S-R,
If you want to start to do remixes or mashups then you are going to have to buy another piece of Propellerhead software called ReCycle.
ReCycle is required to save loops (of the original song) as .rex files that can then be played in reason.

To be honest, if you want to just do remixes, and mashups then i would look at either Ableton live or Sony Acid.
I use Ableton Live and it has a feature known as 'warping' where you can time stretch a piece of music and it will not alter the pitch. I also use Reason with it in Rewire mode to make beats that will acompany the original song/acapella.

Hope that helps,
Matt.

RMX Stylus is apparently good for this too.
