This is a rather outlandish question, but I honestly don't know where to look for the answer. I'm trying to dissect reason song files. When you save a song, it saves as a .rns file. I'm trying to figure out how the data is stored in that file. I've viewed an .rns file in a hex editor, text editor, and unicode editor, but it is all gibberish. Does anyone know anything about the save file? It doesn't look like there is any way to addon to Reason, like plugins etc, which makes me doubt that there is any documentation on it from a developer standpoint open to the public. Anyone know anything about this?

It´s a while ago, I was trying to write a tool which renames Reason-Files by adding the bpm-Speed to the filename. If I remember right, I was even not able to detect, where this value is to be found in to file, because by changing only this value in reason, many, many parts of the file changed. Not only one 1 as I expected. Maybe the file has a compressed format, so that one byte could change the whole compression.
