How can I stream my voice through my mic and then through a vocoder so it plays live I have ASIO drivers and that and I'm thinking I have to use rebirth but if there's any way around using rebirth that would be great cause I don't feel like downloading it. I just noticed another thread about it but what program can I rewire to? And how would a usual techno live performance be done using reason and or Cubase?

I don't know about live acoustica, but you can always record vocals and acoustic instruments externally and then use the samples in an nnxt or nn19 sampler. ProTools and Ableton Live are good for acoustic instruments I hear, but I'm still using Reason for everything I do.

The way I find my techno songs are laid out is a very elegant procedure... it usually starts off with just the first key, with small formations, then it slowly and carefully goes solo and the main chords are introduced, then it goes full on (climax is reached ) then sometimes and alternative take is recorded, a completely different sequence, but one that still works, then it either goes back to just one key or it just ends. A good example is Gouryella - The gouryella project between Ferry Corsten and Tiesto. Ferry Corsten deserves most of the credit though, Tiesto has a massive production team and isn't very talented... at least not compared to Ferry... anyway I could rant on all day...

2. Speak of the devil I just got Ableton Live today haha I'm slowly learning to rewire my tacks into reason and I saw a tut on vocoding live with Ableton somewhere so I'll find that I think I pretty much answered all my questions today but thats for the replies.
