okay so i got an mpd24 for my bday and i just recently purchased reasion 4.0. ive been working with reason 3.0 and an mpd16 prior to a few days ago and its been working fine. today i gathered the energy to setup reason 4.0 with my mpd24 and its driving me crazy.


i tried connecting the mpd24 solely throught the usb cable just like the 16. but nothing. hit the pads, nothing. then i tried hooking up my 24 to my comp using an maudio uno midi usb cable thinking that i needed to have a midi connection but nothing. then i tried both usb cable and maudio uno but nothing. ive been at this for about 8 hours now. lol. but still no avail.

now i know its possible to incorporate an mpd24 with reason but i just dont know how to do it.

then i tried other USB controllers with reason but reason didnt see those USB controllers either.

the only thing i can get reason to see (thats USB) is an M AUDIO UNO or my akai MPD16.

my question is, is there a certain thing i have to do with reason to be able to see USB controllers? is there something i have to DL. ive downloaded all the proper drives for my akai MPD that i need for reason but nothing.

what do i do?

i havent played with reason 4, hell. i am still trying to get my mpd16 to work with it, i can get it recognized and play sounds via redrum, but i dont know how to get it to record. could you maybe help me with that, look a few threads down and the link to my youtube video is in there. thanks!
