| I can quickly correct the problem by reloading the gigaport drivers (by unplugging the gigaport and plugging it back in -- it's faster than rebooting the computer). I've tried using a new gigaport. I've tried disabling all of the sound drivers on the laptop, thinking that there may be conflicts with them. I've borrowed a newer laptop and tried it out. I haven't had the problem with the newer computer. So I'm pretty sure the problem is somewhere on my lappy, and it has to do with the gigaport driver. Any ideas? ~n00b |

It could be due to your audio buffer rate (makes a white noise kind of sound) which you can edit in preferences, or it could be due to the usb cables being too long, apparantly you can only connect 5 usb adapters at maximum.
