the "clicker" doesn't go in the song, it's a metronome for keeping you in time. I think that that's what you mean anyway

Honestly it's not for me it's for one of my beat makers.. he really like the "clicker" before he actually record the midi performance.. you know how different people have different things they like

im not sure if you mean a count in so you know when your cue is. i rewire into sonar and in sonar you can set the click to click so many beats before it starts recording. but it continues clicking, and like he said, it doesnt record the click, just keeps you on beat.

not much you can do.. you can drag all your groups of notes and automation one bar to the left and leave one bar empty to count in? You can always move your notes, and quantize (automatically fix timing).

sonar is a DAW (digital audio workstation) Its a program like pro tools where u use this to record all your tracks, arrange, mix, add effects, master, everything you need to do to a song. I rewire reason into sonar so instead of using the sequencer in reason it records to a MIDI track within sonar so i can maipulate it there. What version of reason are you running? Im not sure about other versions, and even though reason 4 is causing me problems right now, I see that reason 4 has a count in click. There is a button ontop of the click button that says pre. If that is enabled the click will do a 4 count and then start recording. That way you're right on time. I hope this helps, if it doesnt, let me know and ill try to be more clear.

Unfortunately I am running Reason 3.0 and I see on here it only has the click button with a volume knob

no problem. when u want to record, click record and wait for a four count then start recording... no big deal. so its records a 4 beat with nothing. Later on when you're all done, take everything to did, highlight it all, and shift it over to the left.
