antares auto tune or celemony melodyne... they're both pitch shifters. the effect is basically him singing and the auto tune pulling his voice to the correct note very quickly. so it goes from one note to the next with no in between. i've tried it, it works like a charm. you need to know you're music though because you need to know the key of the song to get it to work properly. Otherwise, you can technically trial and error it until it works great, but that'll be tough. see ya |

Yeah I've tested out the auto-tune and with certain settings you can get the t-pain effect, but the effect is most noticeable if you're singing out of key. Hence the whole idea of Autotune

And is it hard to do? Or is it easy, b-cuz if its a difficult thing I wont even think about it. Cause i just listened to DJ Khaled´s "I´m so Hood" and I just FUCKING love the T-Pain Hook, maaaaaaan. This is just Goosebump-feeling with me. And I would love to do it in a similar way cause it just caught my ear.

No it's not that hard, I think I have the settings saved so if anything I can give you the exact settings I used. EDIT - Here's the link I used, at least I think so lol http://theproducersden.com/site/tuto...-vocal-effect/ Last edited by _SG_; October 31st, 2007 at 07:05. |
