Default Attempt at hip-hop

I love hip-hop beats so i've tried to make something myself. I made a drum kit and engineered it myself, but I think I might have some eq issues...

anyway, i was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on what would make this more... catchy.

Thanks.

Okay are you asking for advice on the whole track? Or just the drums?

I like bass drum, maybe change the tone down a bit (or the pitch). As for the snare, uhhhhh not feelin' it I'd say a completely new snare drum. As I like that second instrument you did with the matrix (or maybe arp)? But the first one, not so much. Just honest feedback. But! I do think this track has potential, if you can post the rns file and I'll do what I think is best, which may not be right. Not saying I'm an expert. but then you'll see how I eq'd your track and you may be able to gain some knowledge in the process. Tell me what you think

lost the rns file!

but yeah, the snare wasn't as clean as it should have been. It sounded okay when everything was together, but at the beginning it didn't really work.
