| I got a quick Q. It pertains to Reason 4. In 3, you could choose from a drop down menu on any track in the sequencer to change it to use any sound from rack. In 4 you have a drop down menu that has channels. How would one go about changing the instrument on the track? Example: You import a midi file, and an instrument is created, you import another midi file, and another instrument is created, now after importing say 10 midi files, you have 10 instruments and want to delete the instruments but keep all the tracks in the sequencer, all running the same instrument. Hats off to the first person who can help me with this! |

Good question, I have got a similar one, in that, when I import one of my combinator patches for a drum kit I have previoslly used, no sequencer track is created for the re-drum, only the combinator. Is there a way of creating one for the re-drum within the combinator. In reason 3 I would just right click and go to create-sequencer track for device. At the moment I need to create a new one outside of the combinator so a sequencer track is created then move it into the combinator and copy the patch from my original re-drum. |

To suchag, are you asking how to delete a device without deleting it's track on the sequencer? To NUTTSDUTTS when you right click on any device that doesn't have a track on the sequencer it should have the option "Create Track for BlahBlahBlah" at the very bottom. |

Cheers SG i was looking at the top of the list. Suchag is asking how to change a sequencer tracks taget device. In reason 3 you could change it from lets say a re-drum to a subtractor by using the drop down list next to the picture on the track. |

Hmm well suchag I tried but I wasn't able to do what you asked. I'm afraid the only way is to grab all midi data from the track you want change and put it on the device you were going to change it too. Also if you're wondering how a single device can run 10 midi tracks, it's simple, all you have to is right click on the track and click "new note lane". Now you have another lane for your device to sequence midi notes. It actually makes things easier, you don't have to create all those tracks, just the note lanes. Hope that helps. _SG_ |
