Default Hardware Suggestions

Hello everyone,

I am going to buying a new computer so I can get into music production. I am aware of the 'minimum system requirements' for the program however I would like to know if anyone here has some suggestions about things to upgrade to speed up processing. I want to make sure I can run Reason very smoothly without any stalling and such...

Help please....

Thanks,

Scott

Creative Sound Blasters don't go wrong. Yes, there have been issues with microphones and stuff in the past, but that's been fixed.

I bought a Dell 9150 a couple of years ago (1GB RAM, 3.5GHZ, 360GB HDD) and it came with an nvidia 6800 geforce video card and a creative sound blaster. It's amazingly great, as long as you have a good sound system to compliment your card. Or just headphones, of course.

Creative SB X-fi is the technical name. I would SO get that then again there's probably many more users who'll have other, proably better suggestions

yeah macs are pretty good, but unless you've used them before they can be very frustrating. I was trying to configure a malstrom on a mac yesterday and I got a peptic ulcer.

Default Sound Card

I'm looking at that Indigo DJ card. Does anybody know if the "2 stereo analog outputs" on the Indigo DJ are independent channels?
