Default Novice here, redrum silent

Hi,novice here, recently got axiom 25 to control reason3, It was working fine though with redrum never had more than 4 pads working at a time. Last time I powered up and every time since(sic) redrum is silent, subtractor and maelstrom are fine, pads included.
I reinstalled the driver, nothing.Redrum appears on the channel 10 ,it lights up on pads and keys, sounds on the mouse.I didn t toy with the setups since I m getin started .
Should I try to assigne the pads 35 and up wich is the one thing I got told and didn t do?Should n t I get pad sound even if my driver was wrong or no driver at all ?
Should I reset and enigma up?
m audio told me to go to preset 17 didn t help ,they a bit slow to answer,Someone told me to install M audio reason remote control surface for xp even though i have vista ,now I get redrum sound on keyboard but not on pads.
Redrum shows up on midi channel 1 now, shouldn t it be automatic channel 10
Help thanks
