Hey Guys,

could you tell me a method to make my Drum Sounds real bangin? A really Earcatcher, just a real nice stuff so that the Drums stick out more, and when you hear it you just have to think: "Damn, thats Gangsta". The Drums are Ok in my Tracks, but I just want them to be a real Boom! Maybe shorten then up or sumthin, and I tried the length button, yes....

can't really give you any detailed and sure-fire rules. but a skilled use of eq, compression and the might scream distortion unit can make your beats bangers. post a self contained .rns with your drums and i'll try to make them as banging as possible. i'll then post it and you can see how i did it.

just shop around for samples... there are a lot of free/cheap samples out there... and just stuff like eq'ing. If you want me to get you a pretty cool redrum kit just send mean rns file and I'll cook you something up (assuming you want hip-hop).

Here's a little tip, layer your bass drum sounds, and if you really want it to bang, layer it with a boomer (that's the name of a bass drum in reason's stock sounds) and mess with the length (if you don't want it to draw out so much). Maybe I'll cook up a kit for you guys, I have ALOT of drum samples.

I don't get it Why post an rns file when you can zip a folder with your drum samples and share it? Unless we're gonna use the rns file for having a running drum pattern or something? Me confused.

If someone could post a drum beat using the Redrum, doesn't matter how long it is 16 bars - 32 bars etc. And then we can all have a go at getting them "banging". No-one can change the note positions, tempo or samples.

Okay here's the rns file i cooked up just run the pattern on the redrum, it has "barely bangin" drums.
