I had the same problem for a while. It doesn't recognize your keyboard. But for some reason it does work now... Try installing your keyboard first Then go to reason Click preferences Press auto detect new device first Then press add. If it doesn't show your device, the picture I mean, try to select a device type that fits your. For example, something like ''keyboard with knobs and etc.'' Make sure you go to advanced midi setup after that! You can also find this at the preference menu. Then select from Bus A, Bus B etc. your device. Once you did that, restart your computer. Good luck man, I know how it feels. I can use my keyboard but not my knobs and stuff. It kind of sucks you know. |

did you ever get this to work?. I am having hte same problems with my axiom 61. Reason does not recognize it, and I cannot add it to the midi input options. I've spent hours trying to figure this out, including window XP device manager. Windows recognizes this as USB Audio device, so reason should see it!!! what a pain... anyone figured this out? |

I had a somewhat similar problem with my axiom 25, if you running the vista control driver try to load the xp one ,it worked for me but I can t make the transport buttons to work . Also if you have reason 3.0, it won t do the automatic map out, where all the transport buttons and rotary are automatically assigned, you need the update reason 3.0.4.you can get it from the propellerhead website. Then you get this, http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=....drivers&f=753.

I'm on Reason 4 and a mac, and have a Novation Remote 61. I've got the two linked up by USB, and the LCD display on the keyboard shows value changes when I twist the knobs etc. I'm trying to follow these instructions - http://88.208.201.18/answerbase/article.php?id=202 However, when I try to set the MIDI input and output, I get nothing, even when I click on "find" and press keys and slide sliders etc. These keyboards are suposed to come with presets built in for Reason et al, although I have had this keyboard for some time before I got Reason. |

i have an axiom 61 and reason 4. there is no driver yet for this setup yet, unfortunately. you can use the keys on your axiom, but if you have my luck, not the knobs. sucks cuz i only had my axiom for like a month before i got reason 4, and it worked perfectly with 3.0 so my advice: make sure usb is connected and keyboard is on before opening reason. open reason and go to "edit" then "preferences". at the top of this menu where it says "page: ______" switch to advance controls. switch bus A(top) to axiom usb 1 in and the port(bottom) to axiom usb 1 in. then just manually add your axiom contoller as a generic m-audio keyboard under "keyboards" in this "preferences" section. hope this helps! |

Hey I had similar problems, I didn't do anything crazy to get it working but here is the process that eventually led it to work: I'm running Win XP Media, Reason 3, and using Axiom 49. 1 - Put the driver CD in and installed driver. 2 - Connected Axiom via usb, windwos xp prompted to install 2 drivers, just kept hitting continue till all was done. 3 - Opened up Reason, went to Preferences - Control Surfaces. Tried to auto-detect devices, but didn't show up. Clicked Add and selected M-Audio - generic keyboard with controls. Clicked find but didn't detect anything. 4 - Exited and restarted computer. 5 - Windows XP prompted for the driver install agian, so I did that. 6 - Opened Reason again and auto-detect did not work. 7 - Clicked add, selected M-Audio generic keyboard with controls. At this point the MIDI In Port drop down menu gave me the option to select USB Axiom 49 in1. I did that, hit OK, and was up and running. Hope this helps someone! |

I was having a similar problem the other day with my Alesis QS8.2 keyboard. It will play, but the controllers don't work. Any ideas on my setup? Joe |

Titan, My Alesis has plenty of power. It works with other programs, but not with Reason. Thanks. Joe |
