Wow that must of been a little chaotic, sounds like things still went smoothly though, so how did you record this live performance?

What-U-Hear, naturally. Otherwise known as stereo mix. It's pretty much when you use an audio analysis program like wavepad to record through the speakers instead of your microphone.

It was a bit of a personal experiment, people don't usually listen to music like this because of it's pretty extreme complexities, but, combined with the fact people would hear music like this and think "this is mindblowing but i know that i'll never really know where to get this music", and the fact that all of the lights were switched off for most of the show meant that a lot of people got their minds blown (as they said after the show). If you listen to the last two notes, it ended abruptly and some people were even screaming.

I like it that you were trying to be very experimental. I would like to hear this type of music when I go out with friends.

The funny thing is, you say that people don't listen to this kind of music that often because it's too experimental and complex. But I think stuff is changing lately. Aphex Twin's Windowlicker is one of those songs. People wouldn't listen or DJ's won't play it as well. But still, I think there is some hope for experimental music out there, as long as you know how to find your audience...that is the question

I only used reason for the improvisations, and the matrix sequences. I used a lot of other programs here, mostly Reaktor, because of it's customization (is that a word?).

I don't usually create normal songs with keyboards, but yes, I used a keyboard here for a lot of the changes and for controls, and for playing some of the effects in the backround. And for muting.

I used the X8
