Default Help!! importing midi files

Im fairly new to reason and i was importing a midi file into my reason program, but whenever i go to files and click import midi files and choose the song i want to hear, when i press play , the only sound i hear is a demo song i think and its not the correct midi file that i chose. What am i doing wrong here.

Are you making sure that you're starting a new rack and not importing the midi file while youre still on reason's demo start up song?

Okay you really need to read the manual...what you're missing is the mixer but still that isn't the problem, when you import midi files it's not importing sound at all, it's importing midi data which is used to trigger samples, so even if you had a mixer you would still need a instrument that uses that midi data and then you will be able to "hear something". Please read the manual as I have a feeling that you know next to nothing about how midi or reason works. I may be wrong but that's the impression I get.
