Default Frequency spectrum analyser.

Is there a frequency spectrum analyser that anyone can reccomend?
Can it be used via my sound card audio out or do you need Rewire to use one?

Would the vocoder be OK for this job if wired between my final mixer and audio out or is sound quality going to suffer or sound maiinpulation?

Well what I would do is a get a good vst analyzer then use reason in rewire with a DAW, and analyze the channel your final mix is going through.

Here's a list of a few free vst analyzers

sound won;t be affected at all if you turn the dry/wet knob all the way to dry.

i also use the vocoder as a freq. analyzer

Do you wire it between your final mixer and audio out? I tried it yesterday but couldn't get it to show any response on the vocoder. Do you need to have a constant gate open for the vocoder. If so how do you go about that?

you need to create a merger/splitter and send audio to both the carrier and modulator inputs. turn knob to dry and voila!
