So I just recently bought a padKONTROL and I am having a problem: I want to set it up so that it acts like an AKAI MPC in that when you activate a pad it plays the assigned sound untill you hit the pad again or hit another pad thus canceling out the previously activated sound and playing either the same sample again or the new selected sample.

Basically with the padKONTROL I have two settings for the pads; I can either set them up to play a sample for the duration of time that my finger hits the pad to the time that I lift it off or I can set them up so that each pad acts like an on/off switch.

Neither of these are what I want. I need it to only activate one sample at a time (monophonic?) and sustain that sample untill I hit the next trigger. Any ideas?

Try changing the "Polyphony" value on the Reason Virtual device (e.g. a malstrom) to 1.
