Angry The Transition..., Oh My

I'm new to this whole software recording deal, but I'm tryna get in there and get my feet wet. I generally try to read through the FAQ's when I start out, and after that, older threads to see if someone has already asked my stupid question before I ask the stupid question again. But now I'm stumped and sitting on a bunch of un-used equipment because I can't even figure out how to make, let alone start making a song in Reason. I know how to create the tracks, but when it comes to recording them in the sequencer, It doesn't record. I was a Triton user before this, and even though I had a little difficulty with it starting out, it seems the learning curve is much more extreme going to software. Can anyone help me out with some pointers/tips on how to get started and attempting to tame this beast called Reason. Also, can you dummy proof it for me...??? I'm sure this won't be my last post or question..., I'm about to register on a Pro Tools forum too so I can learn how to work this Mbox 2..., lol.

For drum patterns using redrum, search this forum for "redrum tutorials" I know I left some over here.

For recording on reason's virtual devices, make sure you have a midi enabled keyboard, make sure they're hooked up to the pc and you have midi drivers installed. Then in reason go to Edit > Preferences > Control Surfaces and Keyboards and try to auto detect yours, if that doesn't work choose "add" and pick your keyboard type and it's midi driver. Then after that, choose an instrument, press the big red record button on the bottom of the sequencer and start making music.

Feel free to ask any more question, but please, make them as SPECIFIC as possible, that way we can easily give you the answer.
