If you want to use Sony Sound Forge instead (It works a lot better, very good program) I can send it to your via Skype. For some reason WavePad can't open aif files, only every other format Anyway, the only other possibility that I can think of is to get Sound Forge, or another similar program, and reduce pitch there, then save it as a different sample. What device are you using this on? ReDrum? NNXT?

if you mean that you can't browse the Sound Bank, download Universal Extractor.

Oh yea i just tried Universal Extractor and it does not work. How do you guys edit the aif files and wav files that come with Reason? I cant edit any of the files i want until i can somehow get into the Sound Bank folder. Any other suggestions?

You can use WavePad to record "What-U-Hear". That means that it records anything that goes through the speakers. Load up WavePad, press F5, choose a sample rate and then change the devices in the box that appears to your sound card and then "What-u-hear" below. Go into Reason and use ReDrum to play the drum sound. WavePad will record it. Then you can use special effects to alter the pitch of the sound but not reduce speed, and then when you're done you can save it as a wav file, and open it with ReDrum.

You could also use total recorder to record what you hear.

yeah there's a lot of quality programs out there, I just use WavePad personally. Sound Forge is great for slicing loops but I don't think you can record W-U-H.

i guess i got a Sigma Tel Audio card or something but i set my "Playback" to Sigma Tel and my "Recording" to Sigma Tel and the it gives me 3 options for "input" : "windows record mixer", Line in, and Microphone. since i dont have a mic, i just left it as windows record mixer but i tried recording and i hear nothing on my playback. What are the exact things i am suppose to setup so i can "record what i hear"? Thanks guys for helping
