True that! Reason is more of a synth, than a sound editor. You can convert all your samples to Dr. Rex loops, but even that is not gonna be easy... If all you want to do is stick loop samples together, then look somewhere else, e.g. Acid.

Reason is "alright for sampling", but when you get to it's effects and virtual wiring you can really do some unique stuff to your samples, I've even seen a video of someone using the nnxt to make a DJ scratch effect on your samples. I recommend using your favorite DAW with reason in rewire of course |

Its to easy make a loop and use samples into reason, but you have to convert the samples into a .rex or .rex2 file first. You`ll need recycle (a propellerhead software) to do this. www.romer.tk romerdecaracas@latinmail.com Last edited by RomerDeCaracas; July 31st, 2007 at 22:50. |

all jokes aside, if you are an extensive sampler using different size samples and stuff you run into recycle giving you an approximate tempo which when you go to use dr rex it kind of distorts them, now that nnxt is nasty but it takes time to get it right. personally if you got an MPC use it and rewire reason inside you daw. now thats priceless! but it can be done just takes time to perfect sampling in reason. |
