| How do i control Multiple devices for ex. (Subtractor, Redrum, NN19) from my Axiom 49 key??..Example 2(have drums in one section bass in another) I know you can do it by combinator but when i do that it doesnt play them seperately.. can this be done? I know this question has come up on other searches that I have done.. here is one post i found.. For instance, I'd like to have maybe a subtractor, a nnxt, and a combinator all setup and when I play the controller, all three are triggered. I CANNOT figure out how to do this, but there must be a way. Can anybody either just tell me how to do this, or give me some pointers/insight into how Reason 'sees' and controls incoming MIDI signals? PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance, Aaron |

yeah, all you have to do is to put as many devices as you want to control at the same time into a Combinator along with a mixer, wire it all up, and then record using the combinator.

[EDIT] Sorry I got posts confused. When you create a Combinator, press the "Show Devices" button if it isn't already depressed. You'll see that the inside of the Combinator is empty. Simply drag and drop the device that you want to play at the same time into that empty space (you have to drag them at the side edges) and then use the Combinator to play all of the devices at the same time. However, you cannot put a Combinator into a Combinator. You'll just have to copy the track patterns.

This method is for playing two or more devices at exactly the same time. When you press C on the keyboard, two devices play the same note. If you want to set a certain octave for one device and another octave for another device, I'm not sure how you can do that - or if it's even possible. However, you could always use a split tone. [EDIT] If what you mean is you want a section of the keyboard to play one device, and another to play another device, I'm uncertain if that's possible, however, you can use a split tone.

I'm pretty sure you can do that. If you can, I will introduce my first video tutorial that will show you how to do that. So watch for updates. First I gotta get prepared and look for some programs and set up my mic etc...
