Default Don't send midi event

Hello everybody, reason is great!!
I have two question:
1) To play 2 instrument (NN-XT) toghether the unique solution is to put them in a combinator with a mixer (I don't want to layer inside the NN-XT), it's right?

2) For example, if I have two NN-XT, one with piano and one with strings, I don't want to send Sustain pedal events to the Strings. How I can "disable" sustain event only for String NN-XT? In general a reason device can "ignore" some midi events? (With my YAMAHA MOTIF ES 6 I can decide to send or not some controller to the patches...)

My purpose is to play live with multi layered instrument.

Thanks.

I found a solution...
Instead of make a combinator with 2 NN-XT, I make 2 NN-XT independently
and I assign respectively the first midi channel (on the HW Panel) to one NN-XT and the second midi channel to the other.
So if I turn on trasmition for channel 1 and 2 on my Keystation-88 I'm able to play the two NN-XT pressing one key note.
For the second channel I assign (in the Keystation) an "undefined" cc to the controller 34 ( sustain pedal), so when I press the pedal for the channel 1 the cc is 146 (sustain message) and the NN-XT associated will receive it, but the second NN-XT receive an undefinded message and the sustain don't take effect.

I think that's a good solution, but...(there's always a "but"):
My purpose is to change sounds without leave the fingers on the keyboard, for example by pressing a switch pedal.
In Reason I can map the Next Track Event to the pression of that pedal, and the current track (which one has the small icon of the keyboard lighted) switches to the next.
The problem is that now, setting the channels trasmition in the HW Panel, there's no more a "current track" (every track have the small icon unlighted), but devices play independently (by what the master keyb is sending).
So the combinator was useful for this purpose, but with this solution it became unapplicable.
Any ideas? How I can change channel by pressing a pedal?
