Default Reason and ProTools 7.1.3

i recently switched from a G5 to a macbook pro and have installed both ProTools 7.1.3 and Reason 3.0 on the new computer. Independently, I can get Reason to start up, but I can't get ProTools to recognize Reason in my instruments plug-ins so that I can run Reason through ReWire. I initially had problems getting Reason to start up, I was getting the "engine cannot be located, exiting" dialogue box, so I deleted my Propellerhead Software folder from Library>Application Support as well as the ReWire and REX Shared Library icons from the same location and had Reason rebuild the folders (as the Propellerheads website prompted). I've also upgraded my ReWire and REX Shared Library to the newest versions.

Is there any other solution I might try??

thanks.
