Default Bome's Virtual Midi Keyboard

I thought of this from an earlier post that NUTTS posted asking if you can use you PC keyboard to record midi data in reason, and the answer is yes. All you need is Bome's virtual keyboard, It displays a virtual on screen keyboard so you can use your mouse, or if you just click on the virtual keyboard then press a key on your PC keyboard you'll find that works also.

Now here's the link to the program:
http://www.bome.com/midi/keyboard/MouseKeyboard200.exe

Note: there are other virtual midi drivers around, but the link below is the most painless to set up though. So here it is:
http://www.hurchalla.com/MapleVMCv356.zip

Here's the tutorial link so you can get it working in reason:
http://www.bome.com/midi/keyboard/help/rsn3_tut.php

All the links to downloads are direct, and you're getting them from bome.com with the exception of the Maple virtual midi cable.

Hope you enjoy,

_SG_

I use this all the time and it's awesome! I don't have an actual keyboard, nor I know how to play one. The major sweet spot is the ability to play chords by pressing only one key on the keyboard!

A 0.08 second Google Search provided the following results.

Google is your friend.

thanks for the slick comment. but I did use the google search. none of them worked...and it is also kinda hard to determine what to say in the search...using the words "keyboard and midi" together. especially when the keyboard you are talking about is not a midi keyboard at all, but a PC keyboard...too bad google didn't know that. I ended up using the term "virtual midi keyboard" to get my results.

thanks though....

in the end though...they didn't work.

Yeah, i have too agree, that is cheating but i am still learning how too play the piano so it makes it easier!!! FYI, you can connect it too your keyboard thru the ports and actually play them using midi instead of using your mouse!!!!
